- Because of the difference in language, Taiwan felt very overwhelming at times. I was not used to being so dependent upon my friends.
- I felt like a princess in Taiwan because everyone was so helpful and thoughtful. Everyone I know in Taiwan is a great host.
- June in Taiwan is very rainy. Everyone has an umbrella ready for the next storm.
- When it isn't raining in Taipei, it's very hot... so maybe rain isn't so bad.
- They sure know how to make some excellent toast in Taiwan. I had a slice every day!
- There are dogs everywhere. Many pets and many strays. It made me miss Gracie a little bit less.
- I saw a woman at the night market carrying her pet bunny in her purse. That and the dog riding on a scooter where some of the funnier things I saw there.
- It's well worth getting out of Taipei on a visit. The other parts of Taiwan I saw were beautiful.
- I like that almost all the meals in Taiwan were served family style. It made trying many foods very easy. I think Liz liked it too. She loves to check out what everyone else is having.
- I could fill a role in Taiwan by making sure that signs translated into English made sense to an American. There were some entertaining signs.
